We’re looking for a passionate Senior Analyst – FP&A to join our UK IT Global Functions team. In this role, you are responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, modelling business scenarios, and tracking performance metrics. The insights and analysis provided by Financial Analysts are crucial in informing strategic decisions made by company leaders. Working on multiple projects simultaneously, Financial Analysts demonstrate their ability to solve complex business challenges through detailed analysis, strategic thinking, and collaboration with cross-functional teams. Their work plays a vital role in driving the success of the organization.
This role is be based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
What You'll Do
- Support in the month end close of National Grid IT financials.
- Support cross functional customers make sound financial and operational decisions through effective reporting, comprehensive analyses, budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis and effectively communicating key takeaways.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and evaluate the financial impact of various initiatives, projects, and operational changes.
- Develop strong, collaborative working relationships across teams, functions, and levels.
- Apply analytical skills, judgement, attention to detail, and creativity to effectively solve problems.
- Navigate ambiguity, take initiative, and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, balancing the needs of multiple stakeholder groups.
- Pivot to address ad hoc requests as they arise in an effective and efficient manner.
- Proactively build relationships and drive accountability.
- Drive standardization and automation of analysis and reporting.
What You'll Have
- A Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to collaborate, iterate, and influence.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Inquisitive and self-starter.
- Ability to synthesize large datasets and develop and/or pressure test comprehensive analysis to inform the business and drive decisions.
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills.
- Experience with SAP, SAC, PowerBI is preferrable.
- Financial modelling, data consolidation, data analysis (MS Excel) experience
- Planning, forecasting, and budgeting knowledge.
