National Grid is hiring a Senior Account Manager, Outdoor Lighting for our New England Jurisdiction.  This position can be located in Waltham MA, Northboro MA, Hopedale MA, North Andover MA or Worcester MA location.

Job Purpose

 

 

Candidate will possess the ability to communicate across diverse internal and external groups, with the skill set enabling negotiation skills required to improve NGRID processes, systems, program and policy while meeting and wherever possible, exceeding stakeholder group expectations.

 

Key Accountabilities

 

 

  • Coordinate Outdoor Lighting related activities with Jurisdictions, Operations, Customer Service, Regulatory, Pricing, Distribution Design, Engineering Standards and IS.
  • Continuously assess daily tasks with the
  • understanding that system and process issues may arise that require immediate attention and resolution.
  • Administer inventory and billing systems and processes.
  • Manage Outdoor Lighting performance management reporting.
  • Working with Standards, manufacturers, and technical organizations, provide technical research and support to District Operations and Business Services regarding emerging technologies, legislation, rates, and utility practices.
  • Identify, design and implement enhancements to existing policies, processes and systems to improve efficiency and performance related to all aspects of lighting efforts.
  • Effectively communicate program, policy and processes while providing daily support to internal and external stakeholder groups. This communication should be two-way to allow for the constant improvement of all lighting efforts.
  • Participate and/or represent Outdoor Lighting New England on project teams working on various corporate initiatives to improve NGRID efficiency and customer service.
  • Oversee and document Municipal Street Light Purchase process ensuring the various roles and responsibilities of Operations, IT, Rates and Business Services meet required DTE completion dates.
  • Maintain and provide training and direction for the current systems used to support the NE street lighting operations. 

 

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, engineering or other related field with a minimum of 7 years related work experience. 
  • Demonstrated ability to plan, direct, and take responsible charge of new, original, developmental work with only general supervision.
  • May act in a lead role for project/work assignment by providing guidance and/or direction to more junior level analysts.
  • Must have exceptional written and oral communications skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a strong teamwork ethic.
  • Experience dealing with multiple priorities and limited resources, along with excellent self-motivation and time management skills.
  • Experience dealing with customers, and successfully resolving complex conflicts desired.
  • Must have strong computer skills including proficiency in Excel, Access, Word, PowerPoint, mainframe applications.  Must possess the ability to work with databases and spreadsheets.
  • Must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Must display a work ethic that includes flexibility, responsiveness, consistent follow through and good organizational skills.
  • Ability to effectively interface and communicate cross-functionally.
  • Desired CSS, STORMS, GIS knowledge

MA Salary

$100,000 - $118,000 a year
