Our Enterprise Business Services (EBS) Business Organisation is undergoing a transformation re-establishing itself as a quality provider of efficient and effective services to the whole of National Grid. EBS is transforming several end-to-end processes to deliver a quality service to its internal users (i.e., BUs) and external customers and suppliers globally. 

 

The Global Capabilities organization is leading on topics that cut across all service lines across EBS, such as strategy, service excellence, and controls. As a Process Improvement Analyst, you will work closely with various teams to assess existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes and ensure the smooth execution of projects.

This role is based in Syracuse, NY and we’d hope to see you at least two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
 

What you'll do

The Global Capabilities organization will lead on topics that cut across all service lines across EBS, such as strategy, service excellence, and controls. In this role, you will work closely with various teams to assess existing processes, identify opportunities for improvement, implement changes and ensure the smooth execution of projects.

 

What you'll need

  • Knowledge and experience of using process improvement methodologies, e.g., Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, process mapping techniques, process analysis (8 lean wastes), and performance measurement
  • Ideally experience of the function in question (e.g., R2R, S2P, J2L) and/or key transformation levers (e.g., process re-design, automation)
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to collect, organize, and interpret data to drive insights and recommendations
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive mindset to identify opportunities for improvement and implement effective solutions
  • Proficient in using process improvement tools and software, such as process mapping software, statistical analysis tools, and project management platforms
  • Change management experience, including driving process change and promoting organizational adoption
  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field (preferred).
  • Demonstrable experience in process improvement, business process reengineering, or related roles
  • Process Analysis & Evaluation:
    •     Conduct in-depth analysis of existing business processes, workflows, and systems within assigned service line to identify inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and areas for improvement
    •     Work with stakeholders to implement improvements effectively
    •     Help facilitate continuous improvement projects utilizing methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Agile
    •     Evaluate key performance indicators (KPIs) and collect relevant data to measure process effectiveness
  • Project Planning & Management: Develop and manage end-to-end plans across all relevant initiatives (People, Process, Partner, and Tools), providing coverage across design, key delivery milestones (including training and communication) and metrics, and managing dependencies between initiatives and broader transformation activity
  • Problem Resolution: Identify potential risks to delivery and drive the resolution of issues/problems with Subject Matter Experts, EPO and Delivery Teams.

Annual Salary

$79,000-$93,000

 

Salary dependent on experience.

 

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
