I joined the business in September 2021 and relocated from my home in Kerry in the southwest of Ireland. During the course of the grad scheme, I have had the opportunity to work in three teams, initially in the ESO working with the Revenue team in Markets. Following this, I moved to ET, working in the East Coast Offshore Wind Strategy team. I’m currently on my final placement working in the FSO programme.
What degree did you do and what made you want to come to the ESO?
I studied Economics & Finance at the University of Limerick. I was also lucky to get the chance to study at the University of Texas at Austin which was where I first became interested in energy and the pace of change which existed in the industry.
Following this, when looking to secure a place on a graduate scheme, the ESO’s programme stood out to me due to the wide array of roles available to build experience.
What is your favourite memory or best thing about being on the grad scheme and why?
My favourite bit about the grad scheme is our cohort.
"We have a great bunch of people who support one another in and outside of the office."
We have plenty of craic and it wouldn’t be the same without them.
