National Grid is hiring a IT Collaboration Engineer on a permanent basis. The this role is based in our Warwick office - We offer a hybrid working model.
Job Purpose
Join our Digital Workplace team as an IT Collaboration Engineer, where you will lead the strategic and engineering initiatives for the Content and Collaboration (CC) area. You will collaborate with vendors, partners, and project teams to recommend tactical improvements and contribute to long-term strategic solutions.
In this role, you will engage with Operations teams on high-level incidents and assist in troubleshooting escalated issues. You will work closely with Solution Architects across IT to ensure a world-class user experience and drive continuous service improvement.
What you'll do
- Implement new key initiatives within the Content and Collaboration organization
- Engineer solutions for current state and future vision that align to overall product roadmaps
- Work closely with architecture, engineering managers, product owners, and delivery functions to provide a world-class end-to-end product experience to end-user customers
- Provide insights into products, technologies, and market trends while keeping updated with the latest technologies
- Troubleshoot complex software and hardware issues as the final IT escalation level
- Develop close relationship with vendors, business and technology leaders
- Document solutions, SOPs and endpoint configuration standards
- Present team recommendations to management, communicate technical issues in a concise and clear message
- Work with IT Communications and Business Enablement teams to develop materials to market products
- Assist with driving a smooth product transition to operations and support via infrastructure operations best practices such as ITIL, and a high capability maturity
About you
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (e.g., Computer Science, Electrical Engineering) or equivalent work experience in a related field.
- Proven expertise in Collaboration Technologies, including Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft 365, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, and Power Platform.
- Strong knowledge of Conditional Access.
- Experience in writing and executing PowerShell scripts.
- Passion for creating powerful, user-friendly products and services that customers love.
- Familiarity with agile development methodologies.
- Strategic and creative thinker with self-motivation, initiative, and strong problem-solving skills.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £45,000 - £55,000 – dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
