About the Role
The Associate Analyst – Policy and Compliance reports to the Manager Qualitative Risk and Compliance. The Analyst – Policy and Compliance plays a key role in ensuring the organization's energy procurement risk management policies, and strategies are in compliance with applicable state/federal regulations, and strategic imperatives of the organization. This position will be instrumental for driving the company’s qualitative energy procurement risk management framework forward inline with best practice.
This role provides a direct support for communication with internal/external auditors and compliance with their requests and deadlines. This role will work closely with the other members of Risk Management team to ensure the timeliness and quality of their responses to audits and compliance requirements such as SOX, Dodd-Frank and EMIR. This role will be also responsible for transaction confirmations, contracts and indices reporting processes.
What You'll Do
- Maintain and monitor Energy Risk control framework.
- Manage daily risk control processes.
- Manage transaction Confirmation process (including daily, monthly, Asset Management Agreements, RFP trades, Monthly capacity auctions, NYSERDA trades, Renewable Energy Credit trades and other complex deals) via eConfirm or manually.
- Work closely with traders verifying accuracy of the trading tickets and Allegro deal entries.
- Maintain Allegro trade modification spreadsheet and Late entry spreadsheet as per control framework and monitor trader errors.
- Manage internal and external audits including tracking of agreed management actions
- Coordinate risk management committee meetings and documentation requirements. Perform secretary functions at all meetings.
- Analyze and manage documentation of transaction strategies proposed by energy traders
- Assist Manager in the development and implementation of risk policies/procedures
- Assist with commodity contract administration, including negotiation of financial and physical master agreements
- Coordinate quarterly financial reporting activities and produce EPRM final document
- Communicate with external and internal stakeholders including vendors. Process invoice payments
What You'll Need
- Experience with auditing processes
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required, MBA or Master’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Busines Analytics preferred
- Minimum 1 year of compliance work experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics required

- Energy Risk Management and Compliance
- Familiarity with

Annual Salary
$69,000-$81,000
