Job Purpose

 

Our team manages payroll exceptions for the entire union in our Gas organization, paying invoices for gas work and materials, enter orders to be worked by gas crews into Maximo.  Dispatch emergencies and non-emergencies for both Electric and Gas in MA. We also conduct other administrative tasks to help field operations department work more effectively

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Run reports to track metrics that inform business decisions.
  • Look for process improvements.
  • Track department budgets
  • Support supervisors with training and development of report outs on projects
  • Perform updates to Excel spreadsheets to track completion of monthly targets.
  • Execute risk-based controls testing, documentation and reporting in line with good practice guidance.
  • Proactively looks for areas of improvement and provide value adding and insightful recommendations on process and control improvements.
  • Communicate with Manager(s) to highlight issues and ensure timely delivery.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better in order to drive greater efficiencies within assigned areas. This includes preparing charts, graphs, and detailed statistical analysis.
     

 

Qualifications

 

  • An associate degree and 2-3 years of analyst experience or equivalent work experience.
  • Solid planning and organizational skills
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in Work Management software including Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to travel across the divisions and regions as required.
  • Associate's degree or above in engineering, business or a finance related discipline

Salary - $73,000 - $86,000 a year

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills.
