National Grid is hiring a Learning and Development Associate Coordinator for our People Function.  This position can be located in Waltham, MA or Brooklyn, NY.

The Learning and Development Associate Coordinator has a key role in the success of the Performance and Development strategy at National Grid, from administering digital-first learning solutions to supporting global development programs. The role liaises with team leads, external suppliers and internal stakeholders such as HR Business Partners, Procurement, and Communications to organize project details, coordinate events, and create up-to-date content for our various employee communication channels to keep everyone informed.

Key Accountabilities

•    Research learning and development external best practices in the marketplace and present findings.

•    Develop and maintain core content within Performance and Development learning solutions.

•    Coordinate team meeting agendas, requests for information, executive summaries and recommendations, and other events.
•    Support the collection and organization of talent related data and help measure impact.
•    Facilitate workshops and present information on behalf of the Performance and Development team.

•    Collaborate with suppliers and vendors on program design and coordination.
 

Qualifications

•    Highly organized individual capable of working independently and as part of a wider team.
•    Previous experience of working in Human Resources, a project management office function, or on a large project or program team. 
•    Confident in using digital learning platforms such as LinkedIn Learning and SuccessFactors. 
•    Intermediate level experience in using and preparing impactful PowerPoints and frequent use of Microsoft Word, and Excel.  
•    Ability to work well under pressure and juggle multiple priorities.  
•    Ability to work with ambiguity, envision and not just manage change but bring a solution mentality to any challenges. 
•    Continuous improvement/ Performance Excellence experience is a plus. 
•    Proven experience as an executive assistant, coordinator or project manager supporting a leader and their team in a fast-moving commercial environment. 
•    Great at building strong relationships across all levels of an organization quickly. You make it your business to know key players across the business. 
•    Comfortable challenging or respectfully pushing back at all levels to get the job done and support the interests of the team. 
•    Ability to prioritize your own workload while dealing with curveballs that come your way. You are a natural problem solver and solution oriented. 
•    Pro-active leader, you predict and anticipate what others need before they ask. 
•    Natural influencer and effective communicator to a wide variety of stakeholders internal and external to National Grid.
•    Know how to treat others like a customer and instill trust in everyone you interact with. 
•    Pride yourself on your attention to detail and are actively look for areas for improvement pertaining to your role.

Salary

$77k - $91k a year in Waltham, MA.

$83k - $98k a year in Brooklyn, NY.

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
