We want to find an innovative, adaptable, and results-oriented Principal Security Architect for our Cybersecurity teamThis position is located in  Waltham, MA (candidates may also reside in either Connecticut, New Jersey, New Hampshire, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Vermont, or Maine). What you'll do

 

As a Principal Security Architect, you'll lead security design, engineering, testing, and implementation for critical IT and OT business projects supporting National Grid’s Energy and Digital Transformation. You'll be a crucial link between high-level business stakeholders, Information Technology, and other shared security services, and provide expert technical guidance on complex security challenges. Working closely with the business, project teams, and technical architects, you'll combine excellent customer relationship skills, deep technical knowledge (including emerging digital technologies), and a practical approach to real-world risk reduction. Key responsibilities include the following: 

 

  1.    Securely integrate significant new technology capabilities into National Grid’s technology products and services
  2.    Modify and update existing security services to meet the demands of new technology
  3.    Secure operational technology and critical infrastructure in compliance with federal and state regulations
     

About you

 

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the proven ability to build strong relationships with IT and business stakeholders in a collaborative environment
  • Strong security foundations to include experience with, vulnerability management, penetration testing, security operations, network and application security; fundamental security concepts such as encryption; secure protocols and best in class solutions
  • Extensive experience with defining and incorporating security controls at each stage of solution design and implementation across network, application, database, and operating system domains
  • Experience with ICS/SCADA/OT environments and architecture, along with industry-relevant standards such as NIST, ISO27001, and CIS controls and regulations such as NERC CIP and TSA directives
  • Expertise in cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, GCP) and controls

Salary

Massachusetts $162,000 - $191,000 a year

Salary is commensurate with experience and location

This position has a career path which provides for advancement opportunities within and across bands as you develop and evolve in the position; gaining experience, expertise and acquiring and applying technical skills. Candidates will be assessed and provided offers against the minimum qualifications of this role and their individual experience.
