Job Purpose

To manage and coordinate internal Overhead and Underground Distribution Electrical Line Work Orders from design completed through scheduling.

Key Accountabilities

  • Responsible for the management and coordination of non-customer work from design complete to ready to schedule.
  • Develop and Monitor dashboards to review and manage work orders to ensure all requirements such as but not limited to material availability, permitting, tree trimming, and other prescheduling activities are tracked through completion so that work orders are ready to schedule.
  • Responsible for the scheduling and coordination of short and long-term Opex and Capital construction projects, as well as emergent work.
  • Manage, balance and coordinate external resources in order to optimize short and long term resource needs and deliver against agreed program of work.
  • Monitor and review work undertaken by project team in order to ensure appropriate use of materials, tools, equipment or resources and adherence to schedules.
  • Facilitate meetings with stakeholders on a reoccurring basis to collect, manage, and track the status of requirements through completion.
  • Analyze and provide resource allocation recommendations at the platform level based on resource availability, current work schedules, and alignment with forecasted work plan.
  • Participate in weekly construction meetings with stake holders to ensure optimum scheduling and compliance.

Qualifications

  • Associate's Degree and 2-3 years of equivalent work experience is preferred
  • Experience with Opex and Capital construction or operations projects preferred.
  • Strong work ethic.
  • Exceptional organization skills.
  • Valid driver’s license required with a safe driving history that meets National Grid’s Safe Driver policy.

More Information

Salary: $77,000 - $90,000
