Grid for Good
Grid for good
Powered by our charity partners, volunteers from National Grid and our energy industry peers, Grid for Good is our global flagship community investment programme. It connects young people between the ages 16-25 with upskilling and job opportunities in the energy industry.
We are facing some of the biggest social and employment challenges of a generation; now more than ever we need to show support for our communities in US and UK.
We're committed to building and developing an inclusive culture with a workforce that fully reflects the communities we serve. We can't achieve NetZero by 2050 without an inclusive workforce; the two are inextricably linked and that's why we need diverse minds leading the way.
Young people who join Grid for Good will be taken through our seven stage pathway. We will provide them with insight into the wide range of roles in the energy industry, give them essential work-readiness skills, specific industry skills, practice at team building, networking, engage them in paid work experience and ultimately support the most motivated, energetic and diverse talent into their first job in our industry.
Our charity partners seek out the young people who can benefit from Grid for Good.
