About the Role
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Recruitment Manager to join our team on a 12 Month FTC – Maternity Cover!
You will be responsible for the delivery of Recruitment Services and managing a team of 11.
What You'll Do
• Lead, develop and support a team of Recruitment Business Partners to ensure effective recruitment activity.
• Manage the end-to-end recruitment for C level positions.
• Set objectives and utilise regular 1-2-1’s to ensure your team are on track and achieving.
• Conduct performance reviews and any necessary performance conversations.
• Work closely with DEI to further strengthen the DEI and Recruitment Partnership – a good understanding of DEI and its importance is required.
• Become embedded within your business areas to develop a deep understanding of what their business does, help develop future recruitment strategies and ensure the team is resourced effectively.
• Support the Recruitment Director in delivering the strategy.
• Be the point of escalation for your team and find solutions where appropriate, while being comfortable to have challenging conversations if necessary.
• Proficient in verbal and written communication skills
• Use your market insight and expert recruitment knowledge to shape and guide the conversation and influence decisions.
• Lead on project work when required – knowledge in project management skills required.
• Ensure all work in the team is effectively planned and executed, as well as optimum use of resources and timely delivery to internal and external customers.
• Drive direct sourcing and talent acquisition in the respective business areas to engender more strategic approaches to resource planning.
• Act as assessment and selection lead for the associated business to ensure best candidates are positioned in roles.
• Identify long-term talent needs and make plans to resource these in a strategic and well-ordered manner.
• Design and monitor metrics to ensure effective performance and continuous improvement within the team.
• Represent National Grid in the external market and promote the company as an employer of choice to key classes of potential candidates and associated institutions such as schools’ colleges and universities, to ensure good numbers of high calibre applicants come forward seeking positions in the company.
• Manage relationships with key stakeholders and applicable third parties in relation to resourcing activities to facilitate effective working.
About You
• Proficient People Management skills – managing a team of 11 with varying levels of experience, providing coaching, professional development, and support.
• Worked on Change Management Programme and integrated new systems and ways of working.
• Worked with In House ATS Systems e.g., Success Factors, Tribepad .
• Stakeholder management and influencing - effective liaison, challenge and influencing skills to build and manage long term relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders.
• Communicating with impact using different communication styles appropriate to the audience
• Sound commercial acumen - bringing a commercial mind-set and critical business acumen, including resourcing metrics and KPIs to inform decision making across a business unit.
• Passion for personal development - continued professional development of yourself and others, seeking challenges and opportunities that stretch the team and provide an engaging work environment.
• Good time management and organisation - ability to manage multiple deadlines, conflicting priorities, and projects.
• Resilience and ability to work under pressure - proven ability to operate under pressure with conflicting priorities, tight deadlines and demanding stakeholder needs.
• In house recruitment management experience is essential

A competitive salary between £56,000 – £70,000 dependent on capability

• This role is offered on a 12 Month Fixed Term Contract – Maternity Cover
• Location: We are also offering hybrid working in which we envisage you will spend on average 2 days a week at the Bristol office and as and when the business requires
