This role sits within National Grid’s Group Communications team. If you’re proactive, resourceful, and have deep experience of financial and corporate communications, we want to hear from you. We’re looking for a knowledgeable, experienced communications manager with a passion for delivering high profile, compelling coverage across business and trade media outlets. Key Accountabilities:

 

This exciting role at the heart of the Communications team will involve developing and delivering our media strategy, working closely with the wider Corporate Affairs team to build and enhance our reputation. You will work with stakeholders across the business to showcase National Grid’s role in progressing the energy transition and delivering a clean, fair and affordable energy future. As part of this, you'll be working on key financial reporting events and corporate announcements, and advising on high profile industry events.

About You:

 

We’re seeking a communications expert who has experience of delivering compelling media coverage across broadcast, print and digital outlets. You’ll be able to build and maintain excellent relationships with both the media and internal stakeholders. You’ll have experience of managing issues and crisis, securing speaking opportunities, and will hold a key role in our 24/7 press office. You’ll be excited about showcasing the very best of National Grid as we work to secure the transition to clean energy, and will have experience of working in or with a listed business.

 A competitive salary up to £65,000 – dependent on experience

  • This role is hybrid working, between our Corporate HO at The Strand and home, and we can offer some flexibility in hours too if required. It can also be based from our Warwick office, with some travel to London.
