Job Purpose

 

The UK Learning Quality Specialist is required to produce, develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance processes for Global Technical Training, ensuring our training curricula and learning products are fully compliant to internal quality standards and drive continuous improvement. You will assist in delivering National Grids strategic priorities, ensuring Global Technical Training learning items is a high-quality learner experience for the employees to help fuel National Grid’s future ambitions.

Key Accountabilities

  • Ensure that course development follows the QMS process, and the course review process is consistent and followed for all required products.
  • Conduct checks and carry out processes in the final stages of learning item development to ensure consistent, fit for purpose, quality learning items.
  • Maintain the folder structure and storage of all products ensuring versions of products are monitored and controlled and can be evidenced by version control.
  • Ensure content platforms are managed correctly to provide secure and effective libraries of learning content.
  • Produce and maintain high quality QMS documentation and administer documentation updates.
  • Carry out audits and process reviews to ensure quality and further improve processes/documents.
  • Consult with the Managed Service Provider as required for the assigned area and to ensure their adherence to QMS standards.
  • Promote our Instructor Excellence program.  Conduct/support “Train the Trainer” sessions and other training delivery as required to ensure instructors are trained appropriately to deliver training consistently and effectively.  Providing guidance to assist new internal instructors’ and other GTT team members development for the assigned area.
  • Interface with GTT teams to maintain MyHub data accuracy including, but not limited to, archiving activities and escalation of issues identified.
  • Improving training content and training delivery by assisting the GTT teams in observation and evaluation activities.
  • Control highest levels of data accuracy on the LMS for the learning items and conduct system updates within assigned area to ensure data quality for all end users.
  • Challenge existing ways of working and continuously seek ways to do things better to drive greater efficiencies within assigned area.

Knowledge & Experience Requirements:

  • Advanced level of education.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of Quality Management Systems.
  • Professional experience in a learning and development environment.
  • Proven leadership experience.
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems such as SAP Success Factors.
     

Capability Requirments

  • Able to develop strong working relationships.
  • Skilled in computer applications including Office 365.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to successfully prioritise and handle multiple complex tasks and projects.

A competitive salary circa £45,000 – dependent on capability
