About the role

We’re looking for an HR Administrator to join our People Services Team. This is a key role to deliver our HR transactional activities at pace at a very busy time. The individual will develop a detailed understanding of National Grid’s HR processes working across different teams, systems and stakeholders to deliver a stellar experience for our colleagues. You'll need to utilise this breadth of knowledge to highlight areas of risk that could impact delivery of business strategy and drive implementation of improvements and solutions in an agile way. You'll be expected to develop close working relationships with stakeholders and teams, utilising appropriate HR knowledge and have experience and a high level of expertise with SuccessFactors and SAP Payroll.


This role is offered on a 6 month Fixed Term Contract.

About you

  • Experience of working within a HR Shared Service function and generic experience of delivering a query management service aligned to legislative HR processes. 
  • Demonstrable experience in a customer service administrative support role.
  • Good working knowledge and transactional experience of ‘hire to retire processes’.  
  • Strong experience of query management of payroll and benefits related processes.  
  • Experience of delivering payroll and benefits knowledge training to team members.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Good planning and organising with excellent attention to detail. 
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Strong results orientation with an openness and flexibility to change.
  • Passion and commitment to excellence in continuous improvement and quality. 
  • A high level of expertise with SuccessFactors is essential and SAP Payroll experience is desirable.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £29,000 – £32,000 pro-rata – dependent on capability.

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
