We are currently recruiting for a Project Controls Manager within National Grid Ventures within the Construction Directorate.
As a Project Controls Manager you will be responsible for and leading on key Project Control activities which enable the management and delivery of our innovative Offshore Hybrid Asset projects including Lionlink and Nautilus and our Capital Delivery projects.
You will be pivotal in ensuring the implementation of effective project controls and processes, adhering to project governance, and supporting the successful delivery of projects on time within budget, and to scope.

This role is based in Warwick and is a hybrid role so you can enjoy working from home and the office.
Key Accountabilities
- Project Control Framework – Support the definition and delivery of a project control framework for Interconnectors and our Joint Venture Partners in line with the Major Projects Minimum standard.
- Project Delivery Governance – Develop and implement governance structures and processes to track and monitor project scoping, gate and assurance reviews and project execution.
- Performance Measurement Baseline - Set and manage the performance measurement baseline for all Construction Projects.
- Change Control - Responsible for ensuring a robust process is in place to manage all project change.
- Cost Management - Monitor the project costs to ensure they are within plan and budget; produce accurate costs forecasts and ensure that timely and accurate assessments of the estimate at completion are in place.
- Reporting - Oversee the provision of data for the timely and accurate reporting of progress and performance to leadership and other key stakeholders, in line with the agreed reporting cycle. Develop automated reporting with PowerBI.
- Process Improvement – Continually identify and implement improvements across the Project Controls disciplines.
- Stakeholder Engagement - Engage with various stakeholders to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
About you
- A Project Controls Professional with experience managing small teams of people.
- Experience working on major infrastructure projects.
- Proven experience in reporting, change control and cost management.
- Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions.
- Excellent knowledge of project management disciplines across phases of the project lifecycle
- Ability to identify issues and develop effective solutions.
- Excellent verbal and accurate written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex information clearly and concisely.
- Experience in engaging and managing stakeholders.
What you'll get
A competitive salary between £64,000 - £77,000 – dependent on capability.
