About the role

Terminal Technician (Control & Instrumentation) - Grain LNG, Isle of Grain, Kent

Grain LNG (Liquefied Natural Gas), located on the Isle of Grain in Kent, is currently being expanded to store and deliver enough gas to meet up to 33% of UK gas demand.

As we shift towards electricity produced from renewables, gas is still playing a key part in the energy transition, keeping the lights on and homes warm. Last year was our busiest ever, with 102 ships providing enough energy for 6.8 million UK homes. LNG helps balance the intermittency of renewables - strengthening security of supply.

This is an exciting opportunity for a Terminal Technician (Control & Instrumentation), to ensure the continued safe and reliable operation of Grain LNG’s assets through the efficient maintenance and operation of those assets and to support and provide assistance in ensuring the effective day-to-day utilisation of resources and prioritisation of work within the tasks and projects allocated.

At National Grid Ventures, we don’t just ask our people to deliver to the highest standards. We also support them to be the best they can be. Accredited training programmes and personal development courses are a part of life here at Grain LNG. So join us, and bring energy to life.
