About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Specialist Assurance in the South of England who is living within a 50 mile radius of the M25.The role will comes with a company car so you will be required to have a full driving licence.

With over 8 million assets across the UK we take safety and quality seriously, as you can image. That’s why we put so much emphasis on the quality management and testing of those assets, which is where you come in. Planning, implementing and executing the strategies that protect our assets, our customers and our business. Whilst making sure we do this within the agreed budget and in collaboration with our partner businesses.
You will be an experienced gas operative who can recognise and reinforce positive behaviours, provide coaching and support as well as challenge unsafe behaviours and ways of working. It’s likely you will have a background in the gas industry, engineering or assurance. The role is intended to be predominantly based in the South/South East of England.
 

About You

  • HNC or equivalent operational experience in gas industry and/or asset management supported by relevant training or qualifications 
  • Proven track record of completing on site field audits, providing coaching and feedback to engineers as needed.
  • Technical qualifications, including but not limited to:
    • Gas Safe appropriate ACS qualifications
    • Working towards or Member of the Institution of Gas Engineers and Managers (Engineering Technician level or above)
    • Desirable of having Suitable technical/professional experience working to quality standards e.g. ISO9001
    • Mechanical skills for the activity of any physical testing of assets
    • Previous experience of undertaking technical audits would be an advantage
  • Analytical with the ability to review audit outcomes and identify appropriate corrective actions.
  • Good understanding of the National Grid Metering asset base and relevant configurations, including their associated risks.
  • Safety focussed with the ability to recognize safety critical deficiencies both with the assets and individuals working on site and escalate immediately to the appropriate stakeholders for resolution.
  • Working knowledge of relevant regulations, industry and business specific Technical Policies and procedures. 
  • Hold a Full UK driving licence
