The Commercial Systems team is responsible for the technology that underpins interconnectors’ commercial processes. The scope of the team covers the commercial operations of the IFA, IFA2, North Sea Link and Viking Link electricity interconnectors. 

 

As a Business Analyst (Systems), you'll be responsible for mapping the process and data flows, monitor our commercial systems to ensure that we are compliant with our obligations and have the right contingency plans in place. Working with our international partners, you'll help to define and implement improvements to our systems and processes to ensure they meet and exceed our customers’ expectations. 

 

We’d hope to see you in the Warwick office at least once a week, although you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!

Key accountabilities

  • Take ownership of running BAU of allocated commercial systems. 
  • Produce data and process flow diagrams (using visualisation tools such as Microsoft VISIO or IBM Blueworks Live).
  • Monitor the business-critical systems and interfaces and escalate issues to our service providers.
  • Manage change requests to our systems and with our partners.
  • Testing of any new system changes to ensure that they are fit for purpose and meet our requirements.
  • Ensure we have the right procedures in place to respond to an IT systems outage, data breach or cyber incident.
  • Take ownership of systems and interfaces testing during all phases of project implementation. 

About you

  • Experience with managing the user acceptance testing phase for IT system changes.
  • Experience with system requirements gathering.
  • Experience creating and maintaining business process documentation.
  • Systems governance experience.
  • Strong critical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, influencing and facilitation skills.
  • Experience of working with third party offshore suppliers an advantage.

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £46,000 - £52,000 – dependent on capability.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
