Commercial Contract Manager

We’re looking for a passionate Commercial Contract Manager to join UK Land & Property team. You will be responsible for managing the contractual changes and lead commercial negotiations of contract management and its stakeholders. In this role, you will also support various stakeholders with NEC Project contracts. Collaborate effectively with our Suppliers, Lead Contract Manager, other Contract Managers, and operational teams within UK Land & Property, Electricity Transmission (ET), and other relevant teams. Play a key role in building strong partnerships and fostering a culture of seamless cross-functional collaboration within UK Land & Property and among broader stakeholders.
This role is based out of our Warwick office, and we’d hope to see you at least one or two days per week but you’re welcome to be in the office more often if that would work best for you. We’re happy to discuss any additional flexibility in working patterns or requirements that you feel could help to make this job work for you!
What You'll Do
- Lead and reinforce value-enhancing contractual partnering arrangements, including managing gainshare and incentive mechanisms.
- Provide commercial leadership and expertise across various contracts to maximize efficiency and value.
- Ensure contracted scope and costs are accurate and reflect stakeholder requirements by collaborating with suppliers.
- Implement changes to the commercial elements of contracts, including obtaining budget holder and leadership approvals.
- Support Project Managers in developing contracts for project works, with essential knowledge of NEC.
- Assist the Contract Management team with safety, KPI performance, contract escalation, risk and opportunities, contract change control, financial management, and supplier relationship management.
- Collaborate with Finance teams to develop reliable and accurate budgets and forecasts for service contracts.
- Champion industry best practices and benchmarks across UKLP contracts while upskilling operational teams to drive consistent, high-quality supplier delivery
What You'll Have
- Experience of managing contracts and evidence of driving change through contract management, preferably in a Project / Facilities Management environment
- Experience of developing, managing and analysing commercial contract data, to manage contract performance, and support commercial decision making
- Track record of building and enhancing business relationships with external and internal stakeholders
- Experience in evaluating supplier capabilities to meet the business requirements
- Experience of working in a stakeholder focussed environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and comfortable communicating with impact to a wide cross section of the business including senior management.
- Contract management experience across a range of property disciplines e.g. facilities management
- Experience of instructing and managing NEC contracts form a contract perspective
