Control Room Manager – £70 to 80k -

When you take the helm, you’ll be at the heart of energy.  Operating the network that is crucial to day to day lives, the UK will be relying on you to get gas to where it’s needed safely, economically, and reliably.

On shift in the gas national control centre you’ll use your strong leadership, and be key decision support for a group of professional and diverse individuals.

Change is not always well received, so you’ll employ your knowledge and experience from similar scenarios to create an engaged environment for motivating your team.  The UK gas industry is undergoing unprecedented changes as it moves towards being greener and more sustainable, and you’ll be at the heart of it.  

On shift you’ll have accountability for the real time management of your customer and stakeholders for events on the network. Your role is critical in leading our response to incident management, especially in the early phases which are crucial for success.  Co-ordinating activities across internal / external stakeholders while ensuring your team controls the gas transmission network
 

What you’ll need to succeed

You’ll be a proactive self-starter able to balance the needs of the business with the competing demands of your team. Leading your team to maintain a high level of service.

Your operational understanding of control room environments means you already know how to deliver legal, engineering, commercial and financial obligations in real time.  

You’ll make critical decisions under pressure while considering a range of factors and risks, gas network relies on this to deliver our services.


You can demonstrate your ability to implement new processes and / or process improvements, which will be essential as the UK gas industry evolves

Five years residency in the UK is essential to comply with UK National Security Vetting (NSV)
