Environmental Reporting Specialist
Warwick, GB, CV34 6DA
About the role
Would you like to collaborate with a team of forward-thinking experts, committed to delivering Net Zero and making a positive contribution to Nature recovery in England and Wales?
As part of our delivery of transmission infrastructure we have a set of ambitious sustainability targets and commitments. Our Environmental Action Plan (EAP) for 2021-2026 sets these targets for the five-year investment period. They are focused on our four priority areas: net zero carbon emissions, nature positive, sustainable use of materials and leadership for change.
As Environmental Reporting Specialist you’ll work closely with relevant business teams to collect, analyse, assure, and maintain environmental data, providing insights and reports to support the delivery of our environmental action plan. As part of this reporting, you’ll be responsible for coordinating the Environmental Scorecard Output Delivery Incentive (ESIT), worth a considerable amount in income to the business each year.
You will also develop and publish our Annual Environmental Report, which communicates our progress against our commitments. This report is a key business deliverable for the team and provides key information on our performance for stakeholders and our regulator, Ofgem.
You’ll work with the business proactively to develop action plans and drive reporting improvements and conduct sustainability initiatives and projects with data-driven insights. You’ll work with Corporate Affairs and other communications teams to develop and maintain a robust communication plan to solicit feedback from external stakeholders; and you will work with our Group sustainability team to support group level reporting including sustainability disclosures.
Supporting the business in developing and driving the delivery plan for the ESIT and EAP, taking account of Ofgem’s and stakeholder requirements and expectations, you’ll focus improvement actions on the process steps, supporting process revisions to enable continuous improvement. In addition, you’ll engage with Ofgem to capture successes and lessons learnt.
This role is based at our offices in Warwick and can be combined with hybrid working from home.
