About the role

 

We are currently looking a skilled technician to join our operations team, supporting our Kings Lynn Compressor Station.

 

As an Instrumentation Technician, you’ll  focus on the operation and maintenance of aeroderivative gas turbine machinery trains, centrifugal compressors and associated plant & equipment. Undertaking Instrument maintenance, inspection and repair of the various Instrumentation equipment onsite ranging from Pressure, Temperature, Level, Speed and Vibration.

 

This position is key to the ensuring the high-pressure pipeline system is protected, as you'll supporting maintainaince all PLC’s, gas quality and flow metering equipment. 

Key Accountabilities

 

  • Maintenance activities including inspection and repair of various instrumentation equipment
  • Maintain accurate site records of maintenance, asset, operational and safe system of work for all work activities and operations undertaken, to ensure compliance with relevant policies and regulatory requirements
  • Identify the requirement to replace/upgrade existing plant and equipment as well as participating in the design of minor modifications, and the provision of technical support within discipline and competencies as required
  • Undertake site operations, including isolations and the use of our safe system of work
  • Be a part of and support the construction and commissioning of new assets onto the gas transmission system and other non-load related projects in accordance with relevant policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development, review and update of emergency, security, safety, operational and environmental plans and procedures to ensure safe and cost effective operation of plant and equipment
  • Oversee and inspect work activities undertaken by contractors and working party members where required to provide assurance that technical and safety compliance standards are being maintained and undertaken
  • Ensure that the high pressure pipeline system is protected, including the monitoring of third party work, aerial sighting response and undertaking competent person role associated with routine and low complex non routine operational procedures
About you

 

We are looking for a Technician, who has a working knowledge of legislative requirements and a proven background within instrumentation. You'll be someone who has had exposure within a maintenance/operations environment.

 

You’ll be a safety conscious individual allowing you to work as part of a wider team and alone when required to ensure we are working as effectively as possible. Someone who can communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders whilst maintaining a proactive and customer driven outlook within a fast-paced and varied environment.

What you’ll get

 

A competitive salary between £ 32,868 - £38,668 – dependent on capability alongside a access to a livered vechicle & shift allowances 

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on personal and company performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
