National Grid is hiring a People Services Team Leader on a 6 month FTC to join our Onboarding team in Warwick. The role is hybrid with the mandatory team day in the office on a Wednesday.

 

As a People Services Team Leader you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of the Onboarding team. Leading a team of ten Onboarding Specialists, you will be responsible for overseeing case management and continuously improving service delivery. What you'll need

  • Strong team leadership and management skills, with experience of leading Shared Services teams
  • A strong focus on service delivery to drive operational efficiency
  • Proven experience of managing KPI’s and SLA’s ideally in a Shared Services environment
  • Expertise in performance management and coaching team members
  • Proficiency in using HR systems and case management tools, ideally Success Factors and ServiceNow
  • Excellent stakeholder communication skills to engage with different levels of the business
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in a fast-paced environment.

What you'll do

  • Lead and manage a team to deliver high quality HR services efficiently
  • Oversee employee case management using ServiceNow to track and resolve queries effectively
  • Drive performance management initiatives to support employee development and engagement
  • Ensure compliance with HR policies, procedures and UK employment laws
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement to enhance HR service delivery
  • Drive performance management initiatives to support employee development and engagement
  • Support the People Services Manager with the management of queries and escalations
  • Managing HR data and systems to ensure accuracy and efficiency in reporting and analysis
  • Support, coach and mentor team members to foster a positive and high performing work environment
