About the role

 

National Grid Electricity Transmission (NGET) owns and operates the high voltage electricity transmission system in England and Wales. Our role is key in enabling the net zero transition by providing the electricity infrastructure needed to meet the UK’s ambitious targets. This requires us to ensure we optimise across the requirements of a broad range of customers and stakeholders while also considering the socio-economic and environmental implications of everything we do. 

 

As Performance and Innovation Analyst you’ll be part of our Network Operations and Intelligence (NOI) function. NOI is at the heart of the NGET business, providing end-to-end strategic, engineering and planning leadership to deliver strong business performance while delivering a safety conscious plan, meeting the needs of our customers and our sustainability commitments.

 

As part of the Strategic Planning Team, you’ll be responsible for supporting the performance improvement agenda across all Strategic Planning teams by working closely with the Performance & Innovation Lead.

 

You’ll support the assessment of the strategic 10-year plan of outages against regulatory and strategic commitments, assisting the run of transformation scenario analyses, providing insights to wider NGET stakeholders.

 

Identifying and implementing performance improvement initiatives for both the Planning Team and the wider business, you’ll identify all levels of improvements ranging from ways of working within teams to significant business direction shifts.

 

You’ll carry out transformation initiatives to support Strategic change, supporting “big picture thinking”, engaging with Long-Term planners to understand future issues and concerns which need to be addressed.

 

This role is based out of our offices in Warwick and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.

 


 

What you'll need

 

With a background in transformation or continuous improvement, you’ll have the ability to think strategically, long term to deliver business improvement projects.

 

You’ll have a strong drive for continuous improvement in all aspects of work, coupled with enhanced stakeholder engagement skills.


With the ability to compile data and reports, to assess results against defined KPIs, you’ll ideally have a degree or qualification in a STEM subject or a related field.
