About the role

As a Planner, you will work in the Portfolio Performance Management Office ( PPMO ) leading the development and maintenance of the Integrated Portfolio Master Schedule for the Strategic Infrastructure Portfolio to enable consistent, timely and accurate schedule information for informed decision making.

You will also support the successful delivery of ASTI Portfolio to scope, time and budget in line with agreed governance and reporting structure. 

 

This role is based at our Warwick office which has free onsite parking, and we continue to offer hybrid working from office and home.

  • Proven planning and scheduling experience on major infrastructure projects, preferably within regulated industry.
  • Strong understanding of project management, planning methodologies, interface management and principles of integrated master schedule.
  • Knowledge of UK infrastructure project stages, including pre-construction (consenting, design, development) and construction & commissioning.
  • Excellent communicator and influencer, with the ability to work in complex matrix environments.

What you'll do

  • Develop and maintain the Integrated Portfolio Master Schedule in line with Strategic Infrastructure Portfolio Schedule Management Guidance.
  • Improve the visibility of outages planned by Projects to enable optimisation. 
  • Undertake the trend and impact analysis focussing on Portfolio Milestones, interfaces, critical resources and outages and provide recommendations for corrective action. 
  • Engage with Portfolio Reporting team to ensure accurate schedule performance is reported.
  • Collaborate with the Programme and Project Planners in a matrix organisation to ensure Portfolio Schedule requirements are met.
  • Undertake the Project Schedule assurance reviews to ensure the compliance with the schedule management minimum requirements and applicable planning processes.
  • Support the SI wide schedule maturity initiatives to improve the schedule quality. 
  • Drive continuous improvement of schedule management minimum requirements and processes for establishing the best practise planning. 

What you'll get

 

A competitive salary between £52,000 - £65,000 – dependent on capability.
