As Portfolio Analyst you’ll analyse NGET’s delivery work plan, capturing information and reporting on risks and impacts to the portfolio of assets in the current and subsequent regulatory periods. Analysing and highlighting the risks to the overall portfolio delivery, you’ll create an engineering justification report, working with stakeholders to mitigate these risks and deliver commitments.
Reporting on cost, changes and programme performance against all Portfolios, you’ll provide relevant insight to stakeholders to enable effective decision making, to ensure that NGET can demonstrate change control and strong reasoning for changes to the plan both to internal and external stakeholders.
You will create the reporting data and provide relevant narrative and presentations on performance against regulatory allowances and targets, ensuring you drive improvements across processes and change control using change information gathered.
In addition, you will support and develop automated reports using PowerBi, Tableau, MS Excel, creating and developing business processes, working with the business.
You’ll be based out of our offices in Warwick for 2 days per week, and this can be combined with hybrid working from home.
What you'll need
With excellent skills in MS Office applications, experience using PowerBI and DAX would be an advantage. You’ll be an analytical person, with experience of data analysis and business reporting and be able to present information in a concise manner.
You’ll have experience working across discipline teams and of managing stakeholder relationships, coupled with presentation skills and being able to engage and influence stakeholders.
Excellent communication skills, including written and verbal, are key as is the ability to use your own initiative and make decisions. Knowledge of the Electricity Transmission System and its assets would be an advantage.
In addition, you’ll have a good understanding of forecasting and project financials.
