At the heart of the Electricity Transmission network, the High Voltage (HV) Plant team are at the forefront of projects with values up to £400 million. The solutions we craft not only address the immediate technical needs of the electricity transmission network but also play a crucial role in making our system sustainable for a net-zero world.
As the leader of a dynamic, multi-disciplined investment team, the Project Development Engineer will be responsible for the entire project lifecycle, from setup and option selection to development, sanction, tender, and contract award of HV Plant investments such as Circuit Breakers and Transformers. You will steer scheme teams during project development, effectively managing key stakeholders to ensure their timely input and agreement on investment selection and development. Your input into project’s developing strategies for the future price control will be invaluable.
Requirements:
This is a remarkable opportunity for a self-motivated and well-organized individual with outstanding engineering, project, and/or contract management skills.
- Degree or equivalent qualification in an engineering discipline.
- Demonstrable experience in leading cross-functional teams and managing stakeholders is a must.
- Your proficient project management skills, encompassing time, cost, safety, and risk management, will be your cornerstone.
Desirable
- An understanding of substation HV plant
Pay and Benefits
- A Salary of £54,090 to £65,000 pa + Benefits package + Training and Development.
- 26 days annual leave plus 8 statutory days.
