About The Role

 

 

Brand New Role – Permanent – UK Hybrid Working

As Risk Manager you will work across a portfolio of nationally significant onshore and offshore infrastructure projects delivered both internally and via collaborative working arrangements. 
This is an entirely new role and you’ll be trusted to make it your own as well as grow a team in the near future. 
You’ll work to make Risk a genuine topic of interest for your main stakeholders, developing ways to engage and influence all concerned. 
You’ll join a collaborative, forward-thinking team, providing specialist support across the business.

 

This role is truly hybrid with access to many UK offices and the team typically get together face to face twice per month in Warwick. Where you work in the UK at other times is up to you.

We continue to offer hybrid working from office and home to balance work and personal life.

About You

•    Experience in developing or implementing risk management activity on high-value programmes / portfolios: >£500m 
•    A good appreciation of assurance and expert in risk management, building risk-based assurance plans and recognising the risk arising from adverse assurance findings.

•    Experience in developing risk culture and maturity  within organisations
•    Knowledge and experience of project, programme and portfolio risk management practices and the communication of risk information and data through effective reporting tools.
•    Knowledge and experience of both project and enterprise risk management approaches and aligning the two.
•    Experience of using a range of risk management digital tools and their successful application including robust risk registers, QCRA and QSRA deliverables.
•    Experience of reporting to business assurance / risk and compliance committees.
•    Experience of melding risk management practices and information with other functions and reports to improve integration, maturity and risk culture.
•    Significant experience in leading enterprise risk workshops and reviews to ensure risks are actively managed, monitored and reported on.
•    Ability to bring creative and innovative new approaches to risk management in a way that delivers lasting improvements.

What You'll Do

 

 

•    You’ll support the development, implementation, operation and continuous improvement of effective risk and opportunity  management policy, strategy, process, procedures, practices, culture and behaviours to be used consistently across all projects included within the portfolio.
•    You will complete assurance activities such as  2nd line assurance of risk, QRA assurance and project gateway reviews.
•    Support the management of portfolio risk (bottom up and top down) including horizon scanning of the portfolio and wider environment.
•    Facilitating risk reviews, you’ll support the development and maintenance of the strategic risk information for the Strategic Infrastructure (S.I) executive team.
•    Building relationships you’ll support an integrated approach to project, programme & portfolio risk management – identifying further ways to integrate risk (process and information) with other functions and processes.
•    Working with the risk community, you will support a high-performance team to deliver the risk management function deliverables for the business including continuous improvement of risk practices across the portfolio, setting high standards and creating a culture of learning and continuous improvement through sharing lessons learnt and best practice across the business and ensuring that learning opportunities are identified and optimised. 
•    Aggregating risk information from across SI, you will identify trends / themes and escalate where necessary such as to the quarterly S.I risk and assurance committee. 
•    Update and monitor compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and support the routine    compliance and assurance returns 

What You'll Get

 

 

A competitive starting salary between £62,000 – £72,000  dependent on capability.

 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
