About the role
National Grid Interconnectors is at the heart of UK’s transition to our net zero energy future. We operate a number of HVDC Interconnectors that connect the UK’s energy system to some of our closest neighbours, allowing energy to be imported to and exported from the UK.
As well as already owning a portfolio of HVDC Interconnectors, we’re working on developing new projects to ensure that we are able to meet the UK’s future demands for greener energy solutions.
We are currently recruiting for a Senior Analyst to join the Planning & Performance team, this role will support the team with monitoring, reporting, and project governance, to help support the delivery of the Interconnectors strategic vision. This role will provide support to business stakeholders ensuring that National Grid Group, National Grid Ventures, and Interconnector Directorates reporting requirements are delivered.
If you have previous experience of managing multiple stakeholders and excellent reporting & technical skills specifically in SharePoint, Excel and Power BI we would love to hear from you!
This role is based from Warwick and you can enjoy our hybrid working from office and home.
Key Accountabilities
- Supporting the delivery of the Interconnectors Contract Performance process between NGV, Interconnectors and all directorate levels.
- Supporting the delivery of monthly performance reporting across all directorates.
- Helping to run the Change Programme Board, a monthly meeting that is attended by exec members to discuss new projects, our delivery roadmap, emerging risks, and to ensure alignment between directorates and our business partners.
- Supporting in managing the Interconnectors Investment Committee.
- Supporting with the timely and accurate delivery of all agreed Interconnectors portfolio reporting.
- Supporting in delivering baselined SOPs for all reporting and project governance processes.
- Supporting the rollout of Tractivity training and reporting across Interconnectors to validate effectiveness of stakeholder engagement plans.
- Working closely with the HR & Finance business partners through delivery of the annual Strategic Workforce Plan target operating model monitoring.
- Where needed this role will provide support to the wider Interconnectors Portfolio Management team, which the Planning and Performance team sits in.
About you
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office tools – PowerPoint, Word, Excel
- Reporting & Technical skills in: SharePoint, Excel and Power BI
- Experience of managing multiple stakeholders
- Experience of project governance / working within a PMO
- Working across a team to deliver timely and accurate outputs

A competitive salary between £46,415 - £54,703 – dependent on capability.
