Supply Chain Assurance Analyst - Warwick (hybrid working)

This role takes a lead on NGET’s 1st line Supply Chain Assurance activities for our critical suppliers and subcontractors. It is responsible for undertaking supply chain assurance visits and reporting on the adequacy of suppliers control frameworks.

 

You will be responsible for supporting internal and external vendor assurance activity, ensuring appropriate quality assurance requirements are embedded in working practices.

What you'll be getting up to

 

  • Act as the NGET Supply Chain Security quality assurance authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the NGET Supply Chain Assurance team on NIS Critical System Suppliers and their subcontractors
  • Lead investigations into supply-chain non-conformances, ensuring any associated risks across the network are managed, issues are resolved in an appropriate timeframe
  • Execute a risk-based Supply Chain Witness Visit plan to assure the supply-chain complies with business specifications, International Standards and legislation.
  • Provide guidance and support to other areas of the business on NGET Supply Chain qualification requirements and liaise with Global Procurement and Engineering/technical SME
  • Support internal working groups to develop, review and implement NGET Supply Chain Quality Assurance requirements within policies, procedures and specifications and working practices to drive continuous improvement.

About You

 

  • Experienced in undertaking detailed supply-chain quality assessments in accordance with associated, procedures, legislation and technical specifications.
  • Strong Quality assurance background, with knowledge of different approaches to process improvement and direct experience of leading problem investigations using appropriate tools (e.g. FTA, 8D, 5Y, etc.) - preferably within Electricity or Cyber industry.
  • Experienced in the development and implementation of robust Quality and Business Management Systems and associated documentation.
  • Experience in the development/review of quality plans/ITP’s and the determination of appropriate controls, intervention levels, and witness and hold points to ensure compliance, and deliver appropriate assurance levels
  • Knowledge of procurement legislation and contracting models in regulated sectors, with previous involvement in commercial tender events and contract disputes/negotiations.
