About the Role


Portfolio Delivery Manager – ESO – Warwick or Wokingham with flexible hybrid working

This role is to lead a multi-skilled team of up to 5 professionals, providing portfolio delivery support through our business partnering service and flexible resource pool. It will also involve oversight and development of our consultancy support offering working with our long-term partner in this area.  

Role Responsibilities


Management and development of our Business Partnering service:

  • Managing relationships with business unit leaders to ensure the service is delivered to agreed standards and outcomes
  • Prioritising the workload of the Business Partnering team, flexing support across the business units to deliver the highest value activities
  • Directly owning the relationship as Business Partner for one of four business units
  • Acting as key Business Change contact for initiation of new projects
  • Supporting the creation and building momentum of the internal Change Agent Community 
  • Leading and driving best practice around change implementation, continuous improvement and ensuring frameworks, tools and methods are regularly refreshed and communicated with customers


Oversight and development of our Flexible Resource Pool, with the support of the Portfolio Delivery Lead: 

  • Maintaining close contact with project and programme sponsors to understand resourcing requirements 
  • Ensuring high-quality candidates are identified to fulfil vacancies
  • Managing rotation and transfer of skills and assignments within the resource pool
  • Ensuring members of the resource pool have progression and development opportunities
  • Ensuring high levels of efficiency and compliance in on-boarding an off-boarding of resources

Growing our consultancy service offering:

  • Working closely with our long-term consultancy partner to ensure the consultancy service matches the organisation’s requirements, maximises value offered to internal customers and aligns with the business partnering and flexible resource pool offerings

About You


  • Can demonstrate practical problem solving, advanced communications skills with experience working with multiple stakeholders
  • Can demonstrate the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity, shows self-drive and ability to work independently
  • Has experience building and managing a team, including leading recruitment activities
  • Practical experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Project Management, Change Management, Continuous Improvement, Workshop Facilitation  
  • Practical experience in at least 5 of the following: scoping, scheduling and planning, business case development and benefits management, project financial management, governance, risk management, vendor management, resource allocation, business readiness management and execution
  • Can build credibility and trust across leadership teams who have deep technical knowledge
  • Is detail oriented and produces high quality output    



No specific qualifications required however a relevant degree or related experience would be advantageous


What You'll Get



A competitive starting salary of £50,000 – £60,000 dependent on capability. 

As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% based on personal and company performance. A competitive contributory pension scheme is also available where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%. So if you put in 6% we’ll put in 12% totalling 18%.

As part of our hybrid working approach, this role offers a mix of office working in Warwick or Wokingham and home working
