Apprenticeships

We are passionate about achieving Net Zero and we need the next generation to power the change. Do you share this passion and are you  looking for a practical route into a rewarding career?  Join us as an apprentice and you’ll earn a salary while working towards a professional qualification.

Our apprenticeship programmes are ideal for developing knowledge and skills through on the job and off the job learning. We currently have programmes in power system engineering and we are developing offerings for a wider range of careers for the future. We want to hear from you, no matter what your journey has been up until this point. This is an opportunity to increase your knowledge and gain the practical skills and experience needed to propel your career forward.

Our apprenticeship programmes will run from 2-5 years, depending on the programme route you choose. You will spend 20% of your time studying towards a professional qualification. In addition, you will benefit from learning in a group to develop team working, presentation and problem solving skills. To complete your apprenticeship you will undertake work based projects and complete an end of course assessment.

You will gain a solid understanding in the energy industry and within your department, develop valuable skills in a friendly, supportive working environment. We will strengthen your personal development along the way whilst you benefit from excellent opportunities to progress your career.
