As a Connection Operations Team we guide customers on their journey to connect to the energy system, making it as easy as possible to navigate the route. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone, who is passionate about delivering great customer experience and want to play a part in a greater cause. As a Connections Contract Manager, you will lead and manage the customer connections journey throughout the life of their project to deliver solutions that enable customers to connect to the GB electricity system in a timely manner aiding the transition to net zero, whilst exceeding customer expectations.
This role can is based in Glasgow, but some travel to our Head Office in Warwick will be required (on average once a month) We continue to offer hybrid working from office and home. We are open to full time and part time applicants, as well as flexible working arrangements.

• Experience of effectively dealing with customers leading to dispute resolution.
• Experience in simultaneously managing multiple projects, all to a high standard.
• Ability to understand complex issues and offer users viable solutions, considering impact on the electricity system.
• Ability to explain complex contractual issues to customers in simple terms.
• Established links across ESO to ensure any interdependencies on projects is understood and explained to the end user.

About the National Energy System Operator (NESO)
In Autumn of 2024, the ESO transitioned to National Energy System Operator, or NESO for short. Previously denoted as the Future System Operator (or FSO), the new National Energy System Operator is the independent body responsible for planning Great Britain’s electricity and gas networks and operating the electricity system.
The ESO, including all of its existing roles, are now at the heart of the new National Energy System Operator. As NESO, we will build on our existing roles, capabilities, and ways of working significantly to create an organisation the energy system and its users’ need. Our new capabilities will enable us to look across vectors, including electricity, natural gas and hydrogen, and crucially consider the trade-offs between them.
The organisation is set up as a public corporation with its own Board of independent directors, with complete operational independence from government, the regulator and any and all commercial interest. As was the ESO, NESO will be licenced and regulated by Ofgem through price control agreements and obligated to identify optimal solutions to system operations and planning in the most sustainable, affordable and secure way for all.

What you'll get
A competitive salary between £45000 – £56000 p.a. – dependent on experience and capability.

Key Accountabilities
- Perform required activities to identify sources of errors, investigating and analysing discovered errors, and initiating and providing technical support or service expertise to resolve errors or disputes.
- Provide integration, analysis and reporting of data from databases and spreadsheets. Perform analyses to support management information and performance improvement.
- Develop processes and techniques to drive improvements the forecasting accuracy, supporting trading activities. Support the development of analysis and investigation techniques.
- Evaluate processes and drive performance improvement, focusing on the end customers’ expectations.
- Review the processes as a whole and drive transformational changes to benefit customers and reduce workload in the team.
- Own and drive fundamental changes to the process, managing large sets of data and being proficient in analytical analysis.
- Support the team leader in the production of accurate invoices in line with the applicable deadlines. And with the provision and timely preparation and submission of internal and external data reports.
